“Russia would not mind to become the EU Member State”, - stated former Prime Minister of Russia Evgenij Primakov, addressing the Parliament of Austria.
“I may imagine membership of Russia in the EU, as the European society is for us the most important partner in the economic field from the point of view of the future. I assume, that Russia would not mind becoming the EU member”, - quoted Evgenij Primakov the Austrian Der Standard. According to his words, it is important to create the single European economic area, as well as the common European area of free trade.
The possibility of Russia of membership in the NATO, that was repeatedly discussed as by the Western as by the Russian analysts, the Ex-Prime Minister considers less possible.
