|President of Lithuania will open the Summit of OSCE Foreign Ministers
President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaite will open the session of the OSCE Ministerial Council, reported to IA REGNUM on 5 December at the President’s Office.
OSCE Ministerial Council will start its session in the capital of Lithuania on 6 December. According to the protocol D. Grybauskaite is going to meet also with the US State Secretary Hillary Clinton, who is participating in the working session of the Ministerial Council.
Issues related to the security and human rights in the region are planned to be discussed during the meeting with Clinton, including also energy and nuclear safety, as well as preparations for the NATO Summit, to be held in spring 2012 in Chicago.
As noted earlier by IA REGNUM, the Summit of OSCE Foreign Ministers in Vilnius is the closing accord of the Lithuanian OSCE Presidency over the year of 2011. Lithuania will pass over the OSCE Chairmanship to Ireland thereafter.
