A delegation of entrepreneurs from the Republic of Lithuania visited the Tiumen region.

Lithuanian entrepreneurs visited the Tiumen region. During the first half of the year the turnover of goods between the Tiumen region and the Republic of Lithuania accounted for over USD 20 million. The main export to Lithuania consists of mineral fuel, oil products, organic chemical substances and wood. Export – industrial equipment.

At the meeting with the delegation of Lithuanian businessmen Governor of the Tiumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev said that promising are as for cooperation between Lithuania and the Tiumen region are oil and gas engineering, instrumentation, transportation and logistics, also woodworking.

"Each of the areas is mutually beneficial to both parties. We are ready for a constructive dialogue. The Tiumen region will offer you a reliable partnership", - said the Governor, reports "Vsluh.ru".

Commercial Attaché of Lithuania in Moscow Remigijus Kabecius noted that trade between Lithuania and the Tiumen region is more intense than with a closer neighbouring region of Sverdlovsk. Russia in general is the number one trading partner of Lithuania (33%of the total Lithuanian import and 17% of export). Lithuania is mainly exporting food stuffs to Russia.

Representatives of seven Lithuanian companies arrived in the Tiumen region: namely manufacturers of food products, Lithuanian Railways, IT companies, higher educational establishments and enterprises involved in the trade of commercial lading vehicles.
