The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden made a statement on military attacks between the regular armies of Russia and Ukraine. The head of the department Carl Bildt wrote about this on his Twitter.
Earlier, on 27 August, Chief of the department for organizing activities of special police in the Ministry of the Interior Victor Chalavan stated that the position of the Ukrainian military in Ilovaiskaya ended in the operational encirclement. According to him, the reason for this was the invasion of Russian military equipment in Ukraine.
"On the territory of Donetsk and Lugansk regions professional officials of the armed forces of the Russian Federation are in action. How was the operational encirclement of Ilovaisk formed? Because quite a large rank of military equipment of the Russian Federation voluntarily crossed on Sunday the state border with Ukraine, invaded the Ukraine and advanced to Ilovaiskaya"- quoted Chalavan the Ukrainian UNIAN news agency. Chalavan specified that "this was a rank of tanks, armoured vehicle, rocket launchers "Grad"."
The same day, the Ukrainian TV channel "Espresso TV” in the "Chronicles of the war with Artem Shevchenko" showed a video with a shot-up tank T-72 near Ilovaiskaya and documents on the technique. According to the channel, the tank and the documents belong to the Russian military officials.
In the video, the TV journalist Yegor Vorobyov demonstrated the packing list with the Russian stamp, as well as an army cap and the supportive paper to the medicine chest of a soldier of the Russian Federation that were found near the T-72 tank. Also, a credit card of Sberbank of Russia and other documents were found near the tank.
