Russia - is the aggressor. The Parliament of Britain demanded that Russia should return the occupied Crimea to Ukraine

2016 10 14

Russia must withdraw all its forces from the territory, including Crimea, Gale said.

Russia must withdraw its troops and return the occupied Crimean Peninsula to Ukraine.

This was said during a debate in the PACE by the British MP, Sir Roger Gale, a conservative, member of the PACE Committee on Culture, Science, Education, reports UNIAN.

"It is clear that standards of human rights are not observed. The Russian Federation shall provide access to monitoring bodies and recognize the elections in the occupied territories invalid.  The Assembly cannot and shall not recognize the illegal annexation of Crimea, Russia should return Crimea to Ukraine", - he said.

"Russia must withdraw all its forces from the territory, including Crimea; Russia - is the aggressor, but Ukraine has an obligation also, it is necessary to promote legislation on political commitments, but in this case it is necessary to take into account that Ukrainian (armed) forces suffer from Russian separatists" - noted Gale. Recall, PACE adopted resolutions on Ukraine and declared elections in the occupied Crimea illegal.
